One of Portland’s most iconic restaurants sat empty for 4 years while tenant after tenant fell through. When the building’s landlord reached out to Summer and Patrick in 2018, they became the first ones bold enough to make the cut. Not having bar or restaurant experience didn’t matter, Summer jumped all in, and carried every role from architect to general contractor. And she can now officially call herself a restauranteur.
